We do not collect your location, payment details, contacts, or any data unrelated to vehicle tracking.
How we use your data
- To store and display your vehicle tracking data.
- To calculate the efficiency and cost metrics shown in your dashboard.
- To improve the app based on how users interact with it.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database and authentication provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Row-level security ensures that each user can only ever access their own data.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymised, aggregated data about app usage. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is not linked to your account.
Security & data breach limitation
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Encrypted data storage
- Access controls that restrict each user to their own data only
However, no system is completely secure. By using Jarak Tracker, you acknowledge that we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet or stored on third-party infrastructure.
Your rights
- Access: All your data is visible to you within the app at any time.
- Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the settings page. Deletion is irreversible.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently and immediately removed.
PDPA compliance
We are committed to complying with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Your personal data is collected only for the purposes stated above, processed with your consent, and is not disclosed to third parties except as described in this policy.
